and chases of chickadees ...
my father's the wind

His fifty-year road

to the puddle

... haven't aged a day.

A fraying shadow
an untangled wind
... a dead crow.

Such familiar rains

and now as ever, never

... will turn away.

Sogged and blackening
an old polaroid
... faces in the rain.

Dead mouse
an old road
... new wind.

Breast into forest
to feed and to feed
to unmask ... to marry.

Fester of heart
that will not bleed -
the must.

He is called
Wanders In Rain
... but in tree whispers.

With rhythms too swift
for winded trees in shadow -
lone dancer.
